From seamstress to pirate

Trementina used to sew at the palace. She didn’t do embroidery or tapestries: she weaved stockings, cloaks and shirts for the little Count. In the past, she had made those of his older brother and before that those of his eldest brother, and she was fed up with it. Luckily, she wasn’t the only official seamstress. There were three of them and they were great friends. The sewing rooms had enough light in them to work well, but they spent so many hours there, they got most terribly bored. The thing they liked doing most to pass the time was gossiping, and they knew everything that was going on both inside and outside of the Palace.
