BIOGRAPHY

I was born in Badalona in 1970, and graduated from the Pau Gargallo School of Applied Arts in Badalona in 1992, specialized in illustration.

To date, my focus has been on the field of literature for children and young adults and text books, collaborating with both national and international publishers.

In my 24-year career I have also experimented in other fields of illustration, including newspapers and magazines, packaging and set design for children’s theatre. On a personal level, in my work I use and explore engraving techniques, such as screen printing, linocut and woodcut.

I have participated in national and international group exhibitions as an illustrator for children and young adults.

Between 2003 and 2006, I formed part of the teaching team for Perspective and Space on the illustration course at the Escola de la Dona in Barcelona. For eight years, I was also the coordinator of the subject Textbooks and in the last three years, Books for Children between 0 and 3, on the Postgraduate Course in Illustration at EINA, a design and art school also located in Barcelona.

For seven years I have been exploring my narrative facet as a writer of literature for children and young adults. My first story, Roc loses his head, won the 2010 Mercè llimona Award.
